Our introductory lessons to flamenco dance are taught at one of the most important Flamenco schools in the world, where important dancers such as Rafael Amargo, Joaquín Cortés and Sara Baras learnt.

Our lessons are structured so that, in an hour, you can learn the basic steps of flamenco and put them into practice in a very simple piece of choreography.
Zapateaos (Flamenco tap dance)
This is how we call the set of rhythms played stamping and tapping the ground with the heels. You will learn to differentiate the basic flamenco zapateaos.
Palmas (Hands Clapping)
These are sounds created with our hands y que marcan el ritmo del baile. You will learn to perform the different kinds of palmas that can be done in flamenco.
Braceos (Dancer’s use of the arms)
Arm and hand movements the dancer uses to beautify flamenco dancing. You will see the different styles and positions.
PRICES
Basic Flamenco lesson
This is a one-hour long beginner Flamenco lesson. You will learn basic zapateaos, braceos and palmas and you will dance a basic fragment of choreography. The music in these lessons will be played from a Hi-Fi sound system. Ideal for hen parties and groups of students.

General
All you need is a pair of shoes that hold your feet properly, so as to avoid possible injuries when doing the Zapateao. A pair of sneakers should be enough. Sandals are not allowed, as your foot would not be held tightly and you might get hurt.
During the lesson you are going to be moving about and you are likely to sweat (especially in the summer). We suggest you bring comfortable clothes to enjoy this activity to the max.
We do accept groups of fewer than 6 people, but the price per person is higher. Groups not reaching the minimum number of members will have to pay the full price for a 6-member group.
For example, if you are a group of 3 and want to have a basic lesson, you will have to pay as if there were 6 of you, that is, 120€ (20€x6)
Another example: if you are a couple and want to book a lesson with a private flamenco show you will have to pay as if you were a party of 6, that is, 300€ (50€x6).
During this lesson you will get basic notions of Flamenco. Durante esta clase recibirás unas nociones básicas de flamenco. More precisely, you will learn how to make a basic zapateao, basic palmas and some arm movements.
Flamenco is a discipline that takes many years to learn. Professional Flamenco dancers have typically received 10 years of continuous training and, even so, the keep learning and training all the time.
Our introductory lessons to flamenco dance are taught at theCentro de Arte Flamenco y Danza Española (Flamenco Art and Spanish Dance Center)"Amor de Dios", one of the most prestigious Flamenco schools in the world, where important flamenco dancers such as Rafael Amargo, Joaquín Cortés and Sara Baras learnt. It is located on Calle Santa Isabel, 5 (Madrid). It is very close to Puerta del Sol; just a 10-minute walk. The nearest Metro station is "Anton Martin", located just 2 minutes from the dance centre.
